[An RP session between myself and Chall. DX I only now realize that when Chall said "how are you" I thought she said "who are you" and I apologize for that mess-up. :c]
Decius. Brute stalked through the brush, muscular pillars carrying handsome frame carefully over tangled foliage. Each step was calculated - he dare not risk erring, else he risks the impressive shine of his luxurious pelt. Blood-red auds twitch, collecting each sound that came his way with great precision. Somewhere in the distance, a cluster of crickets was chirping. My, but how quickly the day had passed! Bastard would have drawn his velvets to a pout, but such an undignified act would not be allowed. Decius must look his best at all times - it fed his charm - after all, an impressive appearance helped to soften others up, helped them to fall for him more easily, which he needed. After all, how could a puppet-master be at peace without puppets? A small chuckle rolled from handsome throat, as with a flourish the brute sailed over the last stretch of leaves and twigs, making a soundless, graceful land near the water. [c]
Decius struck a pose for nobody, chest puffed in a great display of "Oh look at me, aren't I wonderful?" Grin split across powerful maw, and the brute took a huge whiff of the air around him. Huh. Another sniff, and it proved his hunch. There was another nearby, one with the scent of a pack - his pack, one he had recently joined. Blood-hued oculars took a quick scan of the surroundings, before dropping to fall on a dark-coloured pup before him. He smiled, charming nearly spilling from his well-constructed facade. "Well hello, there, little one. How are you today?" [d]
Chall emitted a soft yawn, from her precious little maw. Pressing her mitts into the dirts' surface and water, she slightly pushed her bodice up off the ground and sat up straight with shoulders back, and chin high. Her audits flickered a little, trying to collect the sounds around her surroundings and heard a friendly hello from a dark colored brute. Glancing around her area, she looked across, seeing a large brute laying ontop of a rock. Orbs glowed slightly, seeing through the darkness, her mitts patted the dirt, tail swayed behind. Thus, she was usually shy around new critters but got used to them, sooner or later. She realizes that the large brute was, or is from a pack that she just recently joined. On the other hand, she slightly wiped off little dirt off her muzzle with the front of her forepaw. Whelps' audits stood erect and started twitching. Still glancing at the brute, she said shyly, "H-Hello.." She slowly blinked. "I'm alright...I guess?" Her voice got a little quiet, "And ho

Chall slightly says, "And how are you?" Whelp lowered her chin a bit and yawns [d]
Decius padded onto a large rock, handsome bulk settling itself on the still sun-warmed boulder. He gave a great, friendly grin, eyes and features softening so as not to frighten the little whelp. Whipcord wagged gently, and mitts pressed down on the rock, trying to pry its warmth out unconsciously. Normally, he would hold himself proudly - a perfect picture of majesty in the silver light of the moon - but no, such a towering appearance would no doubt make the little pup more nervous, so he merely remained still, muscles lax, posture calm. A thought came to the self-absorbed brute at that moment. Why was the pup on her own? Curiosity was good feed for a conversation, so Decius figuratively leapt at the chance. "My name is Decius," came his cooing voice, "What's your name little one? Why have you strayed off so far on your own?"
Chall's tail swayed in the water, splashing the liquid around, quietly. Her orbs slightly darkened, seeing onto how the brute wasn't trying to scare her, she tried acting strong. "Name's Chall.." She said with a tiny grin, orbs glancing around seeing only herself and the brute talking.. And flying-bugs that glow. Glancing up towards the flying-bugs, she gently tried to bat at one, but missed. Whelp turned her skull back towards the brute and wondering.. Why does a large brute like, Decius, care about a creature like herself. Slightly rubbing her orbs with the back of her forepaws, softly some words came out of her precious little maw, quietly. "I have been on my own, for a while.. My mother(s) are always away, and my brother isn't around either.." She frowned, slightly. Mummbling off her breath, "I miss my brother.." But slowly lifted her chin and glanced at the brute.
Decius's handsome faced grew even softer, as hushed tones escaped the pup's maw. Despite what he may tell himself, he sympathized with the creature. "Well," he said, softly, kindly, "You know you have the rest of the pack to stay by your side - do not worry, we will protect you, and keep you close." As he spoke, the brute contemplated his words. Would he really be such a reliable source of comfort for the pup? For the time being, he had not other work to do - no scouts to command, no ladies to charm, no commands from his alpha. But what happened when he had better things to do? Oh sure, the pup was a cute one, and he'd no doubt protect her if she were ever in trouble - she was, after all, a part of his pack - and the brute would fight for a pack member - still, he could not see himself being compassionate unless it worked to his advantage.[c]
Decius. With an inward sigh, the bastard pushed those thoughts away - proud that not once did he reveal to the pup a hint of his secret thinking, his face still a perfect vision of caring, compassion, and a fatherly softness. A reassuring smile blossomed across his handsome maw, and he took a deep breath. Such a wonderful night. [d]
Chall slowly leaned forewards, stretching her fore-legs straight and laying down. Her tail wagged slowly, once again, splashing the liquid ever so lightly.. Whelp nodded slightly, audits heard kind words from the maw of the brute, and grinned, "I'm not worrying.." Even though, she was always alone, with no one beside her. Whelpen was pretty happy that she had a pack beside her and members that cared. Others would just push her aside because of what kind of species she was.. A kind that was.. Different. She shook her skull to try and erase that from her thinkings, but couldn't. The past was pretty hard for her, since she and her blooded brother was left of her family.. Lightly, she allowed her iviories hang over her lower jaw and repeatly licking them.
Decius let a wide smile crack his kissers apart as the pup splashed water. What a silly creature, she was! His grin was truly genuine, as a rolling chuckle rumbled from his muscular chest. Whipcord swished lightly, causing a small stirring of air as it went. "Well, Chall, I am certainly glad I met you," the bastard cooed, his voice soft, almost gravelly with kindness. Pillars lifted the frame from the now-cool rock, red-and-cream coat seemingly dark, now, in the shadows of night. He brought a great mitt down, gently, on the whelps head, messing the fur on her crown a little, a foolish demeanour about him. "You're an adorable lass, aren't you?" He hoped he had won the pup over, as he hoped he would slowly win the rest of the pack. Nothing worse than high tension in a close-knit family of beasts.
(I had to go here, and apologize for the rushed-and-sucky last post. :c)
